Overview
This project involved designing a contemporary folding train timetable through the lens of Swiss Style, also known as the International Typographic Style. The brief challenged the perception of timetables as purely functional documents by integrating historical design influence to create a more visually engaging and accessible format. Drawing on the clarity, precision, and grid-based structure characteristic of Swiss Style, the final design prioritises legibility while incorporating bold typographic hierarchy, asymmetrical layouts, and a refined use of negative space. A limited colour palette and sans-serif typography reinforce the modernist aesthetic, allowing the numerical content to remain both clear and visually appealing.
