OVERVIEW
Belluna Nails is a self taught Sydney based freelance nail artist who creates trendy, stylish and feminine gel extensions as well as custom press-on nails. As a new business, Belluna Nails required a new logo which resonated with a younger, more feminine audience, as well as a social media template, to present everything on her social media page in a consistent and orderly manner.
The creator of Belluna Nails has mentioned how she wants to create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere when designing nails for her clients, allowing them to escape from their worries while at her nail salon, as she herself can empathise and cherishes her own moments spent at the nail salon.

LOGO DESIGN
I created several different variations of logos for her brand, in both forms of logo types and logo marks. As the business plans on creating their own packaging, with the possibility of creating merchandise, the logo type would be a better way to help easily identity the brand. The logo marks would be used in cases like marketing content or as a watermark on client nail posts.
As the owner of the business requested for a logo which resonated with a younger feminine audience, i designed a hand drawn logo with a somewhat script like appearance of the letter B, capturing elegance and allure. The hand drawn aspect of the logo is a subtle acknowledgement of the nails being hand painted and made by the owner of the business. The lack of corners makes it easily digestible and pleasant to the audience's eye. The owner's name also starts with B therefore i thought the logo having a B would add a personalised touch. The colour swatch created for the brand reflects colours that may be found in nature, especially within Lavenders which is commonly associated with peace and serenity. This is also the atmosphere Belluna Nails wants to create for her clients, giving them the space to be able to relax and feel right at home.
SOCIAL MEDIA TEMPLATE
The social media template uses the colours from the colour swatch to create an elegant and legible format, while still capturing the brand's essense. This template can be used for anything that requires type as well as imagery, from her store policies to using it as a border for her examples of her creations and client photos.
