OVERVIEW
Siren the Label is a jewellery brand that focuses on creating pieces using pearls and silver hardware. The brand described itself as being a mixture of both ethereal yet dark and subversive, the brand also wanted to be sustainable and ethical every step of the way. As a small business, its focus was capturing a target audience of a younger demographic, as well as anyone who may resonate with the brand's sustainability ethos.
As the new brand required a strong brand identity, I was tasked to create a logo, produce, manage and edit marketing content for their website and social media pages in both image and video formats, as well as design on-brand sticker accessories.

Capturing the strong sense of the brand's defiant nature, the identity design features a stylistic logo based on a backwards letter "S". The logo draws inspiration from oceans, with the spine of the S shape emulating waves and the circles depicting pearls. The identity design also includes modern versatile typography and a harmonious colour palate, reflecting the subversive yet sleek designs of the jewellery. The logo mark effectively conveys ethereal yet experimental, straying away from conventional association of pearl jewellery.
The colours used within the colour palette has been selected to reflect the reoccurring themes of ephemerality and disruptiveness. With correlations made between the blue shades and the ocean, and the grey tones with silver hardware. The bold typography chosen is a modern san serif type, acknowledging the fresh perspective this brand brings to pearls and its use in the jewellery.
